Job summary

QBE, a leading insurer, is looking for an experienced Claims Procurement & Outsourcing professional in the UK. The role focuses on onboarding, governance and management of claims suppliers and delegated authorities across multiple territories.

You will partner with Underwriting, Claims, Legal, Compliance and third-party suppliers to deliver strong customer outcomes, governance and value, while developing expertise in delegated authority and outsourced claims operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience within insurance, claims, supplier management, procurement, delegated authority or outsourced service environments.
  • Experience within delegated claims authorities, TPAs, outsourced claims operations, Lloyd's or the London Market, and/or relevant professional qualifications (CIPS, ACII or equivalent) would be beneficial.
  • Comfortable reviewing and interpreting data, performance metrics and management information to support business decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building effective relationships across operational and business teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on governance, compliance and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of supplier governance, due diligence, contract management, audits or supplier performance frameworks would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding of new claims suppliers, DCAs and outsourced arrangements with due diligence and governance.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments, analyse information, and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor onboarding, governance and audit actions through to completion; escalate risks as needed.
  • Support regulatory and internal governance compliance across supplier management and claims outsourcing.
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships including performance reviews and SLAs.
  • Analyse management information and metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support governance reviews, technical audits and supplier action plans to improve performance.
  • Draft, negotiate and administer supplier contracts, renewals, variations, and terminations.
  • Monitor contractual obligations and commercial performance; support reviews and negotiations.
  • Oversee delegated claims authority arrangements, binder renewals and loss fund controls across jurisdictions.
  • Assist with supplier sourcing, procurement exercises, market reviews and category management.
  • Produce governance reporting and MI, monitor supplier risks and drive continuous improvement.

Delegated Claims Authority Specialist

Location: Leeds/hybrid

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join QBE's Claims Procurement & Outsourcing Team, offering exposure to supplier governance, procurement, outsourcing, delegated authority management and strategic supplier oversight.

Working within a high-profile team, you'll support the onboarding, governance and ongoing management of claims suppliers across multiple territories and product lines. Partnering with Underwriting, Claims, Legal, Compliance, Finance, TPRM and third-party suppliers, you'll help ensure outsourced claims arrangements deliver strong customer outcomes, effective governance and commercial value.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their commercial, procurement and supplier management expertise while gaining valuable experience in delegated authority and outsourced claims operations.

Your new role
  • Manage the onboarding of new claims suppliers, delegated claims authorities (DCAs) and outsourced claims arrangements, ensuring completion of due diligence and governance requirements.
  • Conduct supplier risk assessments, analyse supplier information, and provide recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor onboarding, governance and audit actions through to completion, escalating risks, issues or compliance concerns where appropriate.
  • Support regulatory and internal governance compliance across supplier management and claims outsourcing activities.
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships throughout the supplier lifecycle, including performance reviews, service levels and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse management information, operational performance data and key metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support governance reviews, technical audits and supplier action plans to enhance supplier performance and service quality.
  • Draft, negotiate and administer supplier contracts, renewals, variations and terminations, maintaining accurate contract records and governance documentation.
  • Monitor supplier contractual obligations, key deliverables and commercial performance, supporting supplier reviews and negotiations.
  • Support the oversight of delegated claims authority arrangements, binder renewals, loss fund controls and governance activities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist with supplier sourcing, procurement exercises, market reviews, benchmarking and category management initiatives to drive value and cost effectiveness.
  • Produce governance reporting and management information, monitor supplier risks and audit outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Claims Procurement & Outsourcing function
About you
