Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Commercial Manager for Home Claims to execute the commercial and trading strategy. You will work with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver ambitious targets and support a transformation toward market-leading Home Claims functionality.

You will drive data-led performance improvements, manage supplier relationships, and own the commercial performance of key Home Claims components while communicating insights to senior stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the execution of the Home Claims commercial and trading strategy.
• Drive data led performance improvements across internal teams and external suppliers.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers to achieve commercial and customer outcomes.
• Identify and deliver trading performance improvements within the Home Claims function.
• Translate complex data and concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Job description

As one of our Commercial Managers in Home Claims, you'll be delivering the execution of our commercial and trading strategy. You'll work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver bold and ambitious targets, supporting our transformation into a market leading Home Claims function and will focus on all aspects of our Home Claims strategy.,

• Supporting the delivery of our Home Claims strategy to maximise commercial outcomes
• Driving data led performance improvement opportunities, working across the Hastings Direct matrix (e.g. Commercial, SRM, In-House Surveyors, Operations, Audit etc.) and external suppliers to prioritise, secure resource and deliver outcomes as appropriate
• Managing contractual relationships with external suppliers to achieve great commercial and customer outcomes
• Managing risk and business continuity with business area, developing appropriate strategies to mitigate threats
• Owning the commercial performance of a key component of Home Claims
• Identifying trading performance improvement opportunities
  Demonstrable experience of delivering commercial initiatives across a busy Home Claims function
• Strong and demonstrable commercial aptitude combined with analytical capability - able to translate complex data and concepts into a logical and structured fashion, and articulate these concepts clearly and effectively
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with experience in presenting and influencing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
