Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Trainee ANP)
Location: Unscheduled Care, ARI
Band 6 - 18.76 hours per week - Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Acute Medicine of Unscheduled Care for a qualified registered Band 6 Advanced Nurse Practitioner Trainee to join our innovative, friendly, and supportive nursing and medical teams. We seek a team player eager to contribute to the success of Acute Medicine and improve patient outcomes by enhancing their hospital stay. The role involves supporting senior medical staff to ensure continuity and efficiency in service delivery.
The ideal candidate will hold a BSc and PgCert or PgDip in Advanced Practice. While an Independent Non-medical Prescribing (INMP) qualification is not mandatory, we plan to support the successful candidate through relevant courses and studies up to the PgDip level based on regular reviews. A minimum of 5 years post-registration clinical experience, particularly within Acute Medicine, is required. The role involves hands-on clinical nursing, with training provided in procedures such as lumbar punctures, arterial blood gas analysis, virtual assessments, and more. An interest in audit, medicines management, service redesign, and expansion is essential.
