Job summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Band 6 Community Practitioner within the Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion service. The post involves working across adult and youth pathways, in police custody suites and magistrates courts, with a 7 day rota and DBS clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Nurse with registration and appropriate UK professional registration.
• Experience in mental health or community settings preferred.
• Knowledge of CPA, safeguarding and MAPPA beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment of adults in the Criminal Justice System.
• Ensure referrals and interventions are evidence-based and guideline-aligned.
• Produce written reports and action plans for partner agencies.
• Coordinate with CJ agencies and support services.
