Job summary

Adler and Allan in Rochford is seeking a Civils Team Leader - IMR to lead operatives on on-site drainage projects, ensuring safety, compliance and a high standard of workmanship. You will report to the Supervisor, coordinate workflow with engineers and supervisors, load and transport materials, and attend training, toolbox talks and stand downs.

Responsibilities

• Lead operatives on on-site drainage projects to ensure safety, compliance and high workmanship.
• Coordinate workflow with engineers and supervisors to achieve project objectives.
• Attend toolbox talks, stand downs and training; report incidents and near misses.
• Manage materials, load/unload, and transport tools as required; liaise with clients.

Civils Team Leader - IMR
Rochford

Lead Operatives are to assist in the delivery of on-site project works to a safe, compliant and to a high standard of workmanship. You will play a vital role in supporting the operational activities necessary for the delivery of utility services to our customers.

The Lead Operative will be responsible to the Supervisor.

More about the roles:

• To work safely at all times and ensure the safety of all those working around them.
• To comply with the requirements of the company policies, procedures and relevant risk assessments and method statements.
• To report all accidents, incidents and near misses.
• To attend Stand Downs, Team Briefs and Toolbox Talks.
• Follow instructions from the site supervisor and or manager to complete tasks efficiently.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required.
• To attend training and update courses as required.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• To assist with accurately recording details of work undertaken.
• Operate plant and machinery (where trained and certified).
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with other team members, including engineers and supervisors, to coordinate workflow and achieve operational objectives.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools required for drainage work.
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• You will be required to be on a works call out rota on a 1-4 basis- On a 7- day period.

Qualifications

About you:

• Previous experience in running small drainage or construction teams.
• CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme or something similar).
• Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various sites
• Strong understanding of drainage systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
