Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Site Supervisor/General Foreman in Penrith to oversee day-to-day site operations on a highways and earthworks project. The role requires controlling labour, plant and subcontractors while delivering works to programme and client specifications.

You will ensure safety compliance, manage RAMS and permits, and liaise with clients and authorities. A strong leadership and proactive approach is essential for success on a multi-million site with a long-term pipeline.

Qualifications

• Strong background in highways works.

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential).

• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations, labour, plant and subcontractors
• Delivery of water and highways works including drainage, ducting, chambers, earthworks, kerbing and surfacing
• Ensuring compliance with H&S legislation, RAMS, permits and client standards
• Liaison with clients, local authorities, inspectors and project teams
• Managing quality, programme and short-term planning
• Maintaining site records, permits, ITPs and progress reporting
• Supporting commercial control and change management on site

Site Supervisor/ General Foreman

Contract on going 2 years+

My client is a specialist's civil engineering sub-contractor. They are very well placed within the market place with a reputable reputation. Due to winning a large scheme they have positions for a number of Site Supervisor / General Foreman.

Site Supervisor / General Foreman will have experience working on highways road access, and major earthworks. This is a highways alteration. You will have proven experience within civils as supervisor, understanding the demands of regulated schemes. This is an opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured future works on a multimillion scheme.

As Site Supervisor / General Foreman you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects within the highways sectors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of site operations, labour, plant and subcontractors
