Job summary

BEAR Scotland Limited is seeking a Skilled Civils Roadworker to join our Perth team. This hands‑on role covers highways, drainage and general civil works across multiple sites, with opportunities to supervise small teams on site.

The ideal candidate will have civils/roadworks experience, a valid HGV and UK driving license, and a strong work ethic. The job offers standby, overtime and nightshift enhancements, plus training and career development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in civils, roadworks, or groundworks (essential)
• HGV Licence (essential)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Carry out road construction and resurfacing works
• Install kerbing, paving, and drainage systems
• Undertake excavation and general groundwork duties
• Operate hand tools and small plant machinery safely
• Support traffic management and site setup
• Assist with general civil engineering tasks as required
• Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
