Job summary

Sustainable Talent is seeking a Civils and Earthworks biased Project Manager for a 6-month contract in Sheffield, starting October 2026. You will drive delivery across civils and earthworks packages, lead from the front, and manage NEC contracts with strong commercial acumen.

The role requires extensive client-facing experience, accredited PM qualifications, and hands-on delivery of groundworks, deep excavation, drainage, and related civils activities on utility-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive Civils/Earthworks PM experience with client-facing roles.
• Certified with relevant PM qualifications.
• Excellent NEC contract knowledge and commercial acumen.
• Experience delivering civils/earthworks programmes for utility projects.
• Groundworks, heavy civils, earthworks, deep excavation, and drainage experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Civils and Earthworks projects from planning to delivery.
• Facilitate client communications and progress reporting.
• Manage NEC contracts and commercial aspects of programmes.
• Coordinate groundworks and drainage sequences on site.

Job description

Civils and Earthworks biased Project Manager required for a contract opportunity within our Renewables and Energy sector.

LOCATION: Sheffield
DURATION: 6 months
START DATE: October 2026

The right candidate will need to have the following:

• Strong Civils and Earthworks related Project Management experience, with the ability to demonstrate extensive client facing roles previously
• Accredited with relevant Project Management certificates and qualifications
• Excellent NEC contract knowledge, with a solid commercial acumen
• Ability to facilitate and lead from the front to deliver programmes of works for the Civils and Earthworks elements of utility based projects
• Groundworks, heavy civils, eatherworks, deep excavation, and drainage experience is required
