Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Civils & Groundworks Supervisor to lead site teams across Midlands residential and commercial projects. The role covers drainage, foundations, roads and external works with a focus on safety, programme and quality.

You will manage operatives, plant and subcontractors, reading drawings and delivering toolbox talks while maintaining high health and safety standards. This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity with potential permanent placement.

Qualifications

• CSCS Manager Card is essential for supervisory roles.
• SMSTS is essential for site management.
• First Aid at Work is preferred for on-site safety.
• Temporary Works Supervisor is advantageous for complex civils works.

Responsibilities

• Manage site operatives, groundworkers, plant and subcontractors on multiple Midlands sites.
• Oversee groundworks packages from start to completion, including drainage, foundations, roads and sewers.
• Ensure works are safe, on programme and to the required quality; coordinate labour, plant and materials.
• Read construction drawings and deliver toolbox talks; ensure RAMS are implemented correctly.
• Maintain QA documentation and liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers and clients.

Location: Midlands - multiple sites
Contract: Temp to Perm - permanent opportunity after 12 weeks

Fawkes & Reece are currently recruiting for an experienced Civils & Groundworks Supervisor to join an established contractor delivering groundworks and civil engineering packages across residential and commercial projects throughout the Midlands.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the successful candidate initially working on a 12-week temporary basis before moving into a permanent position.

The Role

• Managing site operatives, groundworkers, plant and subcontractors
• Overseeing groundworks packages from initial stages through to completion
• Managing drainage, foundations, roads, sewers, external works and associated civils
• Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials
• Reading and working from construction drawings
• Conducting site briefings and toolbox talks
• Ensuring RAMS are implemented correctly
• Monitoring quality and completing relevant QA documentation
• Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers, engineers and clients
• Maintaining high health & safety standards across site
