Job summary

Glanville Environmental is seeking a Civils Drainage Supervisor to lead reactive maintenance projects from our Exeter depot. You will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate resources, supervise direct labour and supply chain partners, and ensure safety and compliance across wastewater infrastructure works in the Southwest.

You will report to the Project Manager and contribute to site planning, KPI delivery, and high-quality client communications, while driving efficient, safe project execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in site management within wastewater infrastructure, utilities or construction.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to manage sub-contractors and supply chain.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
• Relevant health and safety qualifications (SSSTS, Street works Supervisor, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/supervise the safe, effective delivery of multiple civils/utilities sites, including drainage work on highways and private land.
• Assist in project planning with highways/public authorities; allocate resources and manage materials.
• Conduct site visits to assist scoping and monitor changes with the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER, RAMS, Temporary works and CDM documentation.
• Maintain and update site records with detailed reports and documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Ensure timely responses to KPIs/SLA and maintain client updates.
• Use MS Office to produce documentation, close-down documents and productivity reports.
• Participate in standby rota to maintain rapid response times.
