Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Civils Chargehand / Supervisor in Bodmin for a permanent, 45-hour week role with a salary of £37,175–£42,656 per annum. The position runs Monday to Friday with opportunities to lead a small on-site team and coordinate plant, materials and daily activities.

The role requires a CSCS Card, NRSWA Operative status, and a Full UK Driving Licence (LGV desirable); reading utility drawings is essential. Recruitment adheres to safe recruitment practices.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Civils Chargehand / Supervisor. You will be working in Bodmin.

Monday – Friday
45 hours per week
Perm Contract
Salary between – £37,175 – £42,656 per annum

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and supervise a small team (up to 6 operatives)


2. Deliver high-quality civils work (kerbing, drainage, hand-laid tarmac)


3. Plan and coordinate plant, materials, and daily site activities


4. Conduct briefings and maintain accurate records


5. Ensure compliance with RAMS and safe working practices


6. Read and interpret utility drawings and plans
