Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Swindon is seeking a General Operative for civil site work on water and civil engineering projects. You will support deep excavation, trench boxes and general civil tasks, contributing to a safe, productive site.

The role offers overtime, training, progression and two annual bonuses, with door-to-door pay and a stable long-term opportunity in a well-established contractor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General or Construction Operative on civils or utilities sites.
• Good understanding of site safety and RAMS compliance.
• Able to commute to Swindon.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with deep excavation, trench boxes, pipe bedding and general civil works
• Supporting the site team with fencing, materials and day-to-day site activities
• Carrying out daily plant checks and working safely around excavations and machinery
• Following RAMS, site procedures and instructions from the ganger or supervisor
