Kier Design is seeking a Civil Design Engineer - Water to join our nationwide team. You will contribute to delivering compliant water utilities and wastewater infrastructure designs, including drainage, duct routes, chambers, and pumping sites, within a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment.

The role requires a degree in civil engineering, proficiency with design software, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Holding a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrating proven capability in civil engineering design.
• Experienced with industry standard design software in your discipline.
• Skilled in written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Working towards or holding professional membership to relevant institution (ICE, CIWEM, IStructE, or similar).

Responsibilities

• As a Civil Design Engineer - Water, you'll be working within the water team, supporting them in delivering compliant designs for utilities and waste water treatment infrastructure.
• You'll be involved incivil designs including duct routes and chambers, equipment bases, drainage, switchgear buildings, earthworks, and upgrade work at CSOs, sewage treatment sites, and pumping stations.
• The role requires coordinating between disciplines and third parties, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout projects.
• Carrying out civil designs compliant to relevant design standards (BS and/or EN) and client specifications.
• Planning, organising, and overseeing the execution of tasks, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
