Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Civil Inspector for a contract role in North Wales. You will lead independent inspections of civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with drawings, ITPs, and standards while maintaining rigorous QA records.

Candidate must have proven EPC/EPCm experience, CSCS, and a strong ability to read drawings and interpret test plans. Regular site presence is essential to monitor quality and support project teams.

Qualifications

• Proven Civil & Structural Inspector experience on EPC/EPCm projects.
• Knowledge of UK BS EN standards, Eurocodes, ICE specifications and CDM Regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, ITPs and test records.
• CSCS Card and medical certification required.
• Independent and proactive on-site quality surveillance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent quality inspections of civil and structural works per ITPs and programmes.
• Perform routine site inspections to identify quality issues early.
• Carry out inspections in response to NOI/RFI from contractors.
• Verify works against drawings, specs and standards.
• Maintain inspection records and upload documentation to project systems.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly quality reports and NCRs.
