Job summary

MHB Consultants Ltd. is seeking an engineer to design, analyse, and manage civil and structural projects from inception to delivery. You will work with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically sound and compliant solutions.

The role involves liaising on project management, coordinating budgets and timelines, and supporting junior engineers. Site visits and potential outside-hours work may occur in a dynamic rail and transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ICE or IStructE accredited course.
• A 2:1 (or equivalent) degree classification or above.
• Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineering status.

Responsibilities

• Undertake preliminary and detailed designs for engineering projects.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Perform structural analysis and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Assist in the preparation of fee/tender proposals.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and communication with stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to junior and graduate engineers.
