Job summary

Assystem is seeking a design-focused Civil Engineer to join a major UK nuclear project, delivering reinforced concrete structures and complex design solutions. This role suits candidates with civil and structural design experience, including anchorage design principles and Eurocodes within regulated environments.

You will collaborate with design and detailing teams, provide technical oversight, and ensure deliverables meet safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience in civil engineering design office environments.
Strong reinforced concrete design and detailing experience.
Proficient understanding of Eurocodes and design standards.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and safety compliance.
Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit.
Nuclear sector experience advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight of design and detailing.
Resolve engineering challenges and ensure deliverables meet safety and quality requirements.
Collaborate with design and detailing teams on civil/structural aspects.
Apply Eurocodes and industry standards in project tasks.
