Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB in Glasgow is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer with 3+ years of industry experience for a permanent role. You will work on a diverse portfolio of challenging projects, delivering engineering excellence through robust design solutions.

The role focuses on Temporary Works design under BS 5975 and Eurocodes, as well as design/assessment of steel, reinforced concrete and timber structures. Hybrid working is available after probation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant industry experience.
• Strong civil and/or structural design capabilities.
• Understanding of BS 5975 and Eurocodes.
• Working towards Chartered status (ICE or IStructE).
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Temporary Works design in accordance with BS 5975 and Eurocodes.

• Temporary propping schemes.
• Demolition stability assessments.
• Excavation support systems.

This opportunity is open to engineers with 3+ years' experience, through to senior-level professionals. We are particularly interested in candidates with Temporary Works design experience, although we will also consider Senior Engineers with 7+ years' experience gained within infrastructure, bridges, energy, or related civil/structural engineering sectors.

The Role

You'll work on a diverse portfolio of challenging projects, developing innovative design solutions and taking responsibility for delivering engineering excellence.
