Job summary

Rullion Limited is seeking a Civil & Structural Design Engineer for a Manchester-based role. The position offers hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days at home) with an ASAP start on a 6-month rolling contract that could extend to 2–3 years for the project.

The role involves owning design coordination across electrical infrastructure projects, supporting procurement and construction teams, and leading design reviews with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Civil/structural design experience within a consultancy
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations & CDM 2015
• Experience with civil/structural projects including earthworks
• Proficiency with design software Masterseries, Tedds, STAD-Pro
• Ability to review calculations and manage interfaces between disciplines

Responsibilities

• Own design and design coordination from Commercial Transfer to practical completion on multiple projects
• Support procurement and construction teams technically
• Produce designs using hand calculations, spreadsheets and software
• Perform design governance checks on other designers (internal and external)
• Ensure third-party design output complies with contract requirements
• Lead design reviews and liaise with Clients, Consultants and Project Team
• Manage Scope of Works documents and design tender packages
