Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee daily groundworks, infrastructure and civil activities on site in the UK. You will lead direct operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.

You will bridge engineering designs with physical execution, acting as the primary on-site contact for frontline operations while maintaining robust safety and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising civil engineering projects on-site.
• Strong leadership to manage operatives and subcontractors.
• Proven ability to interpret drawings and RAMS.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• CDM compliance and safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site activities for civil operatives, trades and subcontractors.
• Enforce HSE compliance with UK legislation and RAMS.
• Review drawings and ensure works meet specs and client instructions.
• Assist in 4-week look-ahead programming and daily logs.
• Coordinate materials, plant and deliveries to minimise downtime.
• Liaise with Site Managers, engineers and safety officers to resolve issues.
