Job description

Job Title: Civil Foreman - Water Pipeline Project

As a Civil Foreman on this Water Pipeline Project, you will be experienced in delivering large diameter steel trunk mains and engaging with the Principal Contractor and other Subcontractors. The project involves the installation of a 900mm diameter steel pipeline within the Peterborough area.

Our client seeks a hands-on Civil Foreman who can plan, organize, coordinate, order materials, supervise personnel, monitor work quality, and perform basic administrative tasks. The candidate must ensure all work is performed safely and to a high standard, following methods of work and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Plan pipeline projects by studying drawings, and scheduling materials and equipment.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings ('toolbox talks') and ensure workers follow safety policies and wear mandated protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, and safety glasses.
• Meet construction deadlines while maintaining high standards of productivity, quality, and customer service. Resolve operational issues and identify process improvements.

Requirements:

• Strong familiarity with heavy earthwork equipment operation and knowledge of OSHA requirements to maintain safe work sites.
• Demonstrated knowledge of all phases of pipe installation, including engineering layout, with experience in delivering Water Pipeline Steel Trunk mains.
• Minimum of 5 years in civil construction or utility sectors.
• Preferably, experience as a Foreman overseeing multiple crews of 2-3 individuals.
