A leading consultancy in the North East is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join their expanding team. The role involves preparing drainage drawings and collaborating on designs for various projects, offering a chance to learn from experienced engineers. Calibre Search is working alongside a growing, privately owned consultancy in the North East that consistently delivers a variety of schemes throughout the UK. Due to a healthy forward workload, they are currently looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician to support their expanding team.
Their experienced team helps deliver the entire lifecycle of a scheme, from Feasibility/Appraisal stage to planning, detailed design, construction completion, ongoing maintenance, and operation. Their current team has extensive engineering and practical experience in delivering schemes across sectors including Residential, Commercial/Retail, Industrial, Student Accommodation, Sport & Leisure, Education, and Heritage.
This role is ideally suited for a HND holder or engineering graduate with experience using AutoCAD/Civil in a professional setting, and who is seeking a career within civil engineering, particularly in the design of roads and drainage schemes.
This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers within one of the area's top consultancies. You will assist in preparing drainage drawings for residential and retail developments using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, help with general arrangement drawings, participate in site visits, and undertake general administrative tasks.
The essential experience required includes working with AutoCAD and MicroDrainage within a civil engineering environment. The role involves drafting designs in collaboration with civil engineers for highways and drainage projects, in accordance with Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements of the NRSWA.
