Transport for London (TfL) offers a 12‑week Civil Engineering Summer Placement in London with hybrid working. You will work in one of our Engineering teams and meet engineers from multiple disciplines.

The role provides training, mentorship, and meaningful project experience to help you develop toward professional registration. You must have completed at least one year of study and be on track for a 2:1 ICE‑accredited BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, with full right to work in the UK for the

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of study in Civil Engineering and on track for a 2:1 ICE accredited degree.
• Must meet the requirements for CEng registration with ICE.
• Must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme.

Responsibilities

• Work within one of our Engineering teams (Infrastructure Protection, Highway Structures, Railway Structures, Geotechnical, Tunnels, Pumps & Drainage).
• Attend introductory sessions to meet engineers from different teams.
• Support project work and gain hands‑on professional experience.
