Job summary

Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies Solutions team in the UK is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead offshore wind and HVDC interconnector initiatives. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating with design, procurement and construction functions.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management qualification, with chartered status preferred.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Chartered status with ICE, CIOB, RICS, or CICES preferred.
  • Experience in Civil Engineering, Construction or Infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Execute projects and work packages within defined requirements, ensuring safety, quality, time, functionality, and cost targets.
  • Manage procurement and oversee consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers from design through delivery and handover.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as Contract Administrator for NEC3/4, FIDIC, or bespoke contracts.
  • Define, draft, and manage subcontract documentation in coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Chair technical and progress meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Liaise with civil design managers to ensure design documentation aligns with project timelines and requirements.
  • Monitor project scope, record changes, and implement mitigation measures as necessary.
  • Support the implementation of innovative ideas and advancements in construction technology and materials.

  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical and commercial issues.
  • Ambitious and flexible, with a proactive attitude towards work both in the office and on-site.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Environmental, and Planning regulations.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with MS Office 365 solutions.
  • Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Ideally chartered with ICE, CIOB, RICS, CICES, or working towards chartership.
