Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is recruiting a Civil Engineering Manager to take ownership of civil across the Power & Renewables business. You’ll lead strategy, drive consistency across projects and manage multi-disciplinary teams from tender through to completion.

In this senior role you’ll guide how civil is done, ensuring designs are technically sound and commercially aware. The ideal candidate has proven leadership and a track record across infrastructure projects in energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong background in civil engineering within infrastructure, utilities, or energy.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing delivery.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of cost and programme impacts.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle from tender to handover.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve civil engineering processes and strategy across the business.
• Build, manage and develop high-performing teams.
• Provide technical oversight across multiple projects.
• Lead bids and tenders, shaping solutions from the outset.
• Oversee design consultants and ensure client satisfaction.
• Lead site audits and key decision-making during construction.
