London Gatwick invites applications for its Civil Engineering Graduate Programme, offering hands-on experience on terminals expansions, taxiways and runway upgrades at Europe’s busiest single-runway airport.

You will work on multi‑million‑pound projects from inception through construction, handover and completion, with senior engineers mentoring you toward Chartership and professional development.

Qualifications

• You must hold 2:1 Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with graduation planned for 2025, 2026 or 2027.
• You must have right to work in the UK and the ability to pass background checks.
• You must have a driving licence at the time of assessment.

Responsibilities

• Delivering site safety engagement in compliance with HSE standards.
• Reviewing contractor documentation for content, quality and compliance.
• Collaborating with contractors, designers and stakeholders for smooth delivery and handover.

What is the Graduate Programme:

• You will work across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects, including terminals expansions, upgrades to taxiways and runways and installing sustainable infrastructure across the airport.
• Work on £multi-million projects and be involved from inception through to design, construction, handover and completion.
• You’ll be supported throughout the graduate programme and on your route to Chartership by senior civil engineers across the business.

Your responsibilities could also include:

• Delivering site safety engagement in compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Reviewing contractor documentation for content, quality and compliance.
• Working closely with contractors, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and handover of the works.

Who can register:

• A minimum 2:1 in a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, or a closely related degree with Civil Engineering studied as a core discipline, achieved in 2025, 2026 or projected for 2027.

• The CTC are requested by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and require individuals to have physically lived in the UK (or have been a member of the UK Armed Forces) for the last three years (this criteria applies to all nationalities including British).
• You must have attained a driving licence at the time of assessment.
