Job description

My client is a civil engineering and groundworks contractor delivering high-quality services from smaller schemes to larger projects. They provide expertise in all aspects of civil engineering including roads and sewers, highways, groundworks, landscaping, excavation, surfacing, concrete, and rail.

They are recruiting for a Senior Estimator to join their team and work on projects across the North West. You'll be working on schemes up to £3m. Experience within NEC projects is required.

As the Senior Estimator, your duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Taking overall lead on all estimating functions.
2. Responsible for the production of tenders, budget estimates, and cost plans.
3. Review of bid documents, drawings, specifications, and other reports applying a good understanding of all components of a tender submission.
4. Identify any financial, design, production, and contractual risks/opportunities.
5. Measure quantities and produce Bills of Quantities and/or oversee their production by others.
6. Ensure enquiries are issued and quotations received from subcontractors and suppliers.
