Our Regulated Water Asset Design team serves the municipal water sector both in the UK and internationally. We hold long-term framework agreements directly with water companies, including Severn Trent Water and South West Water. We also maintain excellent relationships and trading agreements with blue-chip contractors, such as Costain and Galliford Try, delivering projects across the UK. We provide a full range of design services across wastewater treatment, water treatment, sewerage, and water network schemes.

A little more about your role…

As a Civil Engineer within the Asset Design team, you will work on a wide range of projects within the UK water industry’s clean and waste sectors. The team also collaborates with overseas water companies and private sector clients on wastewater disposal. Our dynamic team supports each other and rewards success. You will have opportunities to work with other disciplines within the Asset Design team and the wider WSP organization.

Our team is distributed across the UK and supported by an outsourced team in India.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

• A relevant degree and working towards chartership with membership of an applicable institution.
• Experience in delivering projects from feasibility, concept, and detailed design through to construction management.
• Water sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong technical skills in civil and structural engineering.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to coordinate with other disciplines and liaise effectively with clients and suppliers.
• Digital engineering skills, including modelling and BIM, are advantageous but not essential.
• A full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
• Good presentation, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
