Job summary

Purosearch is assisting an established consultancy in Watford to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer. You will work on a varied portfolio of built environment projects and develop technical solutions from concept to construction.

The role offers hybrid working with a Watford office, opportunities to contribute to design, drawings and reports, and clear pathways for career progression within a collaborative, client-facing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Civil Engineer in the built environment.
• Experience delivering civil design across multiple projects.
• Good technical and communication skills.
• Experience with design software.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Drainage design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver civil engineering solutions for built environment projects.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications, calculations and reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Assist with site inspections and problem-solving.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and regulations.
• Contribute to on-time project delivery and budgets.
