Job summary

Arup in Manchester is seeking a Civil Engineer to support data centres and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will contribute to planning, design and delivery of civil solutions for hyperscale data centres, substations and transmission infrastructure.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, produce drawings and reports, and help advance digital engineering, BIM-led delivery and sustainable design.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD or similar.
• Interest in digital design, BIM and automation.
• Progress toward or achievement of ICE chartership beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions for data centre and transmission infrastructure projects
• Develop site layouts, drainage strategies, earthworks and access designs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated, sustainable designs
• Produce technical designs, drawings, calculations and reports
• Engage with clients and project teams to develop practical outcomes
• Take ownership of defined elements of projects and ensure quality
