Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Civil Engineer to join an established consultancy delivering drainage, structural and geotechnical solutions across sectors.

You will design drainage schemes, contribute to civil design for commercial, residential and industrial developments, and prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Civil Engineer in a consultancy.
• Strong drainage design and building development experience.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake drainage scheme design, including foul and surface water networks and SuDS.
• Contribute to civil engineering design for commercial, residential, and industrial developments.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, clients, contractors and wider design teams.
• Support project delivery from feasibility to detailed design and construction.
• Take technical responsibility for design packages and participate in design reviews.

An established, independent engineering consultancy delivering innovative civil, structural, and geotechnical solutions across a diverse range of sectors are looking for their next Civil Engineer to join the team. Working within a supportive, collaborative team, they are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with strong drainage and building development experience to support their growing project portfolio.

The Role of a Civil Engineer:

• Undertake the design and delivery of drainage schemes, including foul and surface water networks and SuDS.
• Contribute to civil engineering design for commercial, residential, and industrial building developments.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, clients, contractors, and wider design teams.
• Support project delivery from initial feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
• Take technical responsibility for Civil Engineer design packages and contribute to design reviews.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience working as a Civil Engineer within a consultancy environment.
• Strong experience in drainage design and building development projects.
• Knowledge of foul and surface water drainage, SuDS and infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering design software.
• Chartered or working towards CEng (desirable).
• The full right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Live within a commutable distance to the Sheffield office.
