Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Civil Drainage Engineer to join our Sheffield team. You will lead drainage design for development projects, prepare foul and surface water strategies, and contribute to cost-effective engineering solutions across a UK portfolio.

You will work with clients and design teams from concept through to construction, applying SuDS knowledge and standards while developing your career within a supportive environment.

Competenze

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as Civil Drainage Engineer within a consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong drainage design experience for building developments.
• Knowledge of SuDS, relevant design standards and regulations.
• Ability to manage workloads independently and work collaboratively.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence.

Mansioni

• Prepare and review foul and surface water drainage strategies, SuDS designs, calculations, and reports.
• Design external levels, access roads, earthworks, and below-ground infrastructure for building developments.

An established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy are looking for an experienced Civil Drainage Engineer to join the Sheffield team. Working across a diverse range of projects, this consultancy provides civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering services to clients across the UK. The Role:

As a Civil Drainage Engineer, you will work on a variety of development and infrastructure projects, taking responsibility for drainage design and associated civil engineering works. You will prepare and review foul and surface water drainage strategies, SuDS designs, technical calculations, and reports. The role will also involve designing external levels, access roads, earthworks, and below-ground infrastructure for building developments. You will liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines, supporting projects from concept through to design and construction. You may also undertake site visits and provide technical advice to help deliver practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Requirements for the Civil Drainage Engineer:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Civil Drainage Engineer within a consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong drainage design experience, including foul and surface water systems.
• Experience delivering civil engineering designs for building developments.
• Knowledge of SuDS, relevant design standards and regulations.
• Ability to manage workloads independently and work collaboratively.
• The full right to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Live within a commutable distance to the Sheffield office.
