Sheffield City Council is seeking Civil Enforcement Officers to support parking enforcement across the city. You will patrol on foot, observe parking schemes, and help maintain safer streets, reducing congestion and ensuring the responsible use of public space.
This role requires good listening and communication, impartiality, and the ability to handle confrontational situations with professionalism. We offer full induction, comprehensive training, a supplied uniform, weekend work with pay

The Parking Services team at Sheffield City Council are responsible for enforcing parking regulations throughout Sheffield. These regulations include off street car parks, residents parking schemes, on street pay & display, waiting and loading restrictions. We are a growing service and have achieved a great deal, but we need talented, positive and dedicated people to ensure we continue to make a difference for Sheffield.

Parking services is a team that has been growing each year we now can expand our days and our Evening team to meet the service requirements.
We have the opportunity to recruit two additional Civil Enforcement Officers.
One to our Days team and one to our Evenings team.
The Days team work 7:15 – 15:09 and 10:45 – 18:39 shifts
The Evenings team work 15:00 – 23:00 shifts
Both teams cover weekend working. (full shift patterns below)
As Civil Enforcement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the operational success of our enforcement services, helping us maintain safer streets, reduce congestion, and support the efficient use of public space.
You will also assist with road safety and environmental matters.
Full induction and training will be provided, along with full uniform.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
