Job summary

Zodiac Recruitment Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a well-established civil and structural design practice in Derby.

You will contribute to the detailed design of private and adoptable drainage schemes for residential and commercial developments. Reporting to a Director, you will assist in producing S278, S38 and S104 designs to secure technical approval from authorities, liaising with clients, council officers and the design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience producing engineering drawings for highway and drainage schemes.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, PDS or Civils 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
• Excellent numeracy and written English skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

• Prepare detailed designs for private and adoptable drainage schemes for residential/commercial developments.
• Assist in producing S278, S38 and S104 designs for technical approval.
