Your role

As a Design Manager, you will oversee the design aspects of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant project and future initiatives. Your expertise will ensure project delivery in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project teams, ensuring timely, within-budget, and quality-compliant project completion.
• Develop and implement project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, and communication.
• Coordinate communication among stakeholders, project teams, and management.
• Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Assist Contract Managers with claims and variations.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Support engineering leads in developing UK capability through training strategies.

Ideal candidate profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in design or technical management, preferably in regulated industries like nuclear.
• Strong technical skills in delivering technical packages.

• Leadership and team motivation skills.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels.
• Problem-solving and risk mitigation abilities.
