Job summary

Morson Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support wastewater and clean water projects within UK frameworks. The role is a 6-month rolling contract with hybrid/flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities include leading civil design packages, coordinating with disciplines and the supply chain, preparing high-quality drawings and calculations, and mentoring junior staff to ensure project success while upholding Safety, Health and Quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (ICE/CIWEM/IW0).
• Strong technical design experience on water projects.
• Knowledge of Water Industry Clients and Contractors.

Senior Civil Engineer

6 month rolling contract

Location - UK

Inside IR35 (Umbrella/PAYE only)

Role Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer supporting our teams across Frameworks in the UK covering Wastewater & Clean water projects both non-infra and infrastructure.

Role accountabilities:

• Take a lead role on civil design and/or packages of work
• Excellent communication skills
• Liaise with other disciplines and coordinate designs with team members and supply chain
• Liaison with client, the supply chain and other project stakeholders
• Preparation of high-quality design drawings and associated other Construction-Ready documentation
• Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverables
• Work in accordance with our Business Management processes and procedures
• Assist in achieving wider business goals for positive Safety, Health, Quality and Sustainability outcomes
• Promote a culture of innovation and fostering continuous improvement
• Develop hands-on experience of commercial, programme and financial matters
• Mentor and support the development of less experienced members of staff

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degree
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE, CIWEM, IWO
• Strong technical design experience on water projects
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Water Industry Clients and Contractors
• Good delf-motivation, influencing and people management skills
• Knowledge and experience of BIM led design and digital tools such as REVIT / Civils 3D
• Good working knowledge and understanding of the applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications.
