Zusammenfassung

Alexander Associates is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead design activities on major water and wastewater projects. This role is fully remote within the UK, requiring coordination with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver buildable, compliant solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, develop robust civil designs, and ensure designs meet safety, sustainability and whole-life cost considerations for long-term asset performance.

Qualifikationen

• Strong experience in civil engineering design within water, wastewater, utilities or regulated environment.
• Understanding treatment works, pumping stations and associated infrastructure.
• Experience producing and reviewing civil calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings and design documentation.
• Ability to develop practical, economic and buildable civil engineering solutions that consider safety, sustainability, constructability and whole-life cost.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and supporting project delivery.
• Experience leading, checking or mentoring engineers within a civil or related engineering discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership.
• Relevant Civil Engineering degree preferred, or a minimum HND in a related discipline.
• Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and commercially

• Support the design of civil infrastructure including reinforced concrete structures, buried structures, drainage systems, pipelines, earthworks, highways and site development works.
• Mentor junior engineers, graduates and apprentices, sharing knowledge and supporting technical development across the team.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, discipline leads, project teams, suppliers and site teams.
