Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Milton Keynes is seeking a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to help establish a brand-new office and deliver a diverse portfolio of development infrastructure projects across the Midlands and South East.

You will design highways and drainage schemes, use Civil 3D and drainage software, collaborate with planners and clients, mentor junior engineers, and help grow the local team with a strong focus on quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Consultancy experience delivering UK development infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in highways and drainage design for residential and commercial developments.
• Experience using Civil 3D and industry-standard drainage software.
• Good understanding of S38, S278, S104, SuDS and UK design standards.
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Working towards or already holding ICE accreditation would be advantageous.
• Interest in growing a new Milton Keynes office as part of a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Designing highways and drainage infrastructure including S38, S278, S104 agreements, SuDS, earthworks and site levels.
• Producing detailed infrastructure designs using Civil 3D together with InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow or similar software.
• Collaborating with architects, planners, clients and local authorities to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
• Managing projects through planning and detailed design while ensuring technical quality and programme delivery.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the continued development of the wider team.
• Supporting the growth of the Milton Keynes office and helping to establish a strong local presence.

I'm working with a highly regarded engineering consultancy that is opening a brand-new office in Milton Keynes as part of its continued growth plans.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join the business at an early stage and play a key role in establishing and growing the new team.

The consultancy has an excellent reputation and a strong pipeline of work across the residential, commercial, retail, education, healthcare and regeneration sectors, delivering infrastructure solutions from planning through to detailed design and construction.

The Role

What We’re Looking For

• Consultancy experience delivering UK development infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in highways and drainage design for residential and commercial developments.
• Experience using Civil 3D and industry-standard drainage software.
• Good understanding of S38, S278, S104, SuDS and UK design standards.
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Working towards or already holding professional accreditation with the ICE would be advantageous.
• An interest in being part of a growing team and contributing to the success of a new office.
