Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Edinburgh Power & Energy team. You will design highways, drainage and civil infrastructure across UK projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable solutions.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, and opportunities for professional development and Chartership support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a consultancy or design environment.
• Experience delivering highway, drainage or infrastructure designs.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.
• Good communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to risk management and quality.

Responsibilities

• Produce highway, drainage and infrastructure designs from concept to detailed design.
• Support delivery of infrastructure projects in the Power & Energy sector.
• Prepare technical drawings, design information and calculations.
• Use Civil 3D, InfoDrainage or equivalent design software.
• Support feasibility studies and design packages.
• Contribute to tender submissions and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend client/site meetings.
• Identify and manage technical risks throughout project delivery.
