Highway Engineer - Bristol
I'm working with an established specialist traffic and highways consultancy that is looking to appoint a Highway Engineer to join its growing Bristol team. This is an opportunity to work across the full development and highways lifecycle, from initial feasibility and layout design through to detailed highway design, technical approvals and construction. The company has been established for almost 30 years and works specifically within traffic, transportation and highway engineering, giving engineers the opportunity to build strong technical experience across a varied project portfolio.
You’ll be involved in a mixture of development-led highway projects, working alongside transport planners, clients, developers and local authorities. Responsibilities will include:
You’ll be joining a specialist consultancy where traffic, transport and highway engineering are the core business, rather than one small part of a large multidisciplinary organisation. The project workload provides genuine variety, from development access and layout design through to major signalised junctions, roundabouts, highway drainage and wider infrastructure. There is also the opportunity to work alongside transport planning colleagues on projects from the initial feasibility and planning stages through to detailed highway design and delivery.
