Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Civil Construction Manager in Torness to lead EPC civil projects, overseeing from initiation to completion and ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.

You will maintain contracts, drawings, and change orders, provide status reports, and coordinate across stakeholders. A degree in engineering is required, with 10+ years in EPC and strong communication skills; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing EPC projects.
• University degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
• Proficient with MS Office and project management software.
• PM certification is an asset.
• Excellent English communication.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, drawings, and change orders.
• Provide regular reports on project status, including progress and budget adherence.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure objectives.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures for construction.
• Conduct regular reviews and inspections of project deliverables.

We are currently looking for aCivil Construction Manager to join Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project, based in Torness

Your Role:

• Lead civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and change orders.
• Provide regular reports on project status, including progress, budget adherence, and any issues.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure project objectives are met.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure construction meets specified standards.
• Conduct regular reviews and inspections of project deliverables.

What you bring to the role:

• 10+ years of experience in managing EPC projects.
• University degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Certification in Project Management will be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English language.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel.
