Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals in Eye, UK is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to support the Progress Power Plant OCGT project within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division. You will supervise daily civil works on site and coordinate subcontractors to meet schedule and quality targets.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 2–4 years’ on-site construction experience, with strong HSE practices and a good grasp of civil processes. Competitive remuneration and health insurance are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–4 years’ experience in construction projects, preferably within energy, infrastructure, or industrial environments.
• Experience working on-site and coordinating subcontractors.
• Good understanding of civil construction processes and site execution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil works activities on site, including subcontractor management.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Monitor and enforce site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Carry out site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design and standards.
• Track progress and report on delays, risks, and issues to the Senior Site Engineer / Project Management team.
• Support setting‑out activities and verification of works where required.
• Assist in resolving technical issues arising during construction.
