Hull City Council is seeking an experienced SEND Standards and Inclusion Lead to shape citywide SEND provision and inclusion practices across educational settings. You will drive improvements, support the implementation of national reforms, and ensure the right support is available at the right time for children and young people with SEND.

You will provide strategic leadership, challenge and support to Headteachers, SENCOs and governing bodies, promoting quality first teaching and coordinated

Qualificações

• Experience leading SEND improvements across schools and settings.
• Ability to drive inclusion and quality-first teaching.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate citywide approaches to improving SEND standards, inclusion and provision.
• Develop and evaluate improvement strategies reducing barriers to participation for children with SEND.
• Lead SEND inclusion audits, thematic reviews and quality assurance activity across educational settings.
• Provide strategic challenge, support and advice to Headteachers, Trust Leaders, Governors and SENCOs.
• Lead SENCO networks, inclusion forums and workforce development programmes to strengthen professional practice across the education sector.
• Coordinate multi-agency approaches through the Experts at Hand model to ensure timely support for children.
• Monitor the effectiveness of SEND Support arrangements and Graduated Response processes.
• Contribute to Area SEND inspections, self-evaluation activity and improvement planning.
• Act as a key decision maker within SEND inclusion governance arrangements and panel processes.
• Produce reports, recommendations and strategic briefings for senior leaders and partnership groups.
