Job summary

Regent’s University London is seeking a Head of Information Security to protect the institution’s security posture, risk and policy, and to drive compliance across all areas.

You will lead a lean cyber function, deliver a 360 security-first strategy, and co-chair the Data Privacy and Information Security Group, working with the DPO and governance forums. The role requires on-campus presence two days per week with hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing security posture, risk and policy in a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate a team.
• Experience delivering recognised certifications and compliance regimes (Cyber Essentials Plus, PCI DSS) and running security education programmes.

Responsibilities

• Own the institution’s security posture, risks and policies across the organisation.
• Lead a lean cyber function through influence, with formal authority when needed.
• Co-chair the Data Privacy and Information Security Group and work with the DPO.
• Deliver a 360 security-first strategy integrating cyber, privacy and continuity.
• Be a people leader, remaining calm in incidents and holding senior colleagues to account.
