Job summary

mecscomms in London is recruiting an experienced Enterprise Wireless Engineer to support deployment, configuration and optimisation of Cisco wireless infrastructure across multi-site environments. You will focus on Cisco ISE, 802.1X and secure wireless authentication, delivering robust WiFi solutions for corporate and guest access.

The role requires hands-on Cisco Wireless and DNAC expertise, plus scripting with Python/Ansible to automate operations.

Qualifications

• Proven Cisco Wireless engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series controllers and WLCs.
• Strong knowledge of 802.1X, MAB and guest access implementations.
• Hands-on Cisco ISE deployment and integration for secure authentication.
• Familiarity with Juniper Mist and DNAC management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and optimise Cisco Wireless infrastructure across multi-site environments.
• Implement and support Cisco ISE authentication services (802.1X, MAB, Guest access).
• Configure Catalyst 9800, 5520 and 5508 controllers and APs.
• Integrate wireless with routing, switching and firewalls.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Ansible; utilize REST APIs.
• Produce technical documentation and handovers.
