Workman is seeking a CIS Specialist for our Swindon office with occasional travel to Bristol. You will manage CIS administration, ensure HMRC submissions are accurate, and advise internal teams on CIS and VAT rules.
The role involves strong collaboration across Finance, Property Management and Surveying to improve compliance and processes. You will be the CIS subject matter expert, maintaining records, auditing trails and ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
The CIS Specialistis responsible forthe administration and compliance of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) across the business, ensuring all subcontractor records, HMRC submissions and associated legislative requirements are managed accurately and on time.
The role will require regular communication with the Accounts team, Property Managers, Surveyors,subcontractorsand HMRC whererequired, providing specialist advice and support on all CIS-related matters. Working closely with operational and finance teams, you will help ensure the businessremainsfully compliant with current legislation while continuously improving processes and controls.
This role is based in our Swindon office, with occasional travel to our Bristol office asrequired.
Maintaininga high levelof accuracy and ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation is fundamental to success in this role. You will act as the business's CIS subject matter expert, supporting colleagues with technical guidance and ensuring subcontractor information ismaintainedcorrectly.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisationalskillsand the ability to manage statutory deadlines. You will be confident working collaboratively across departments andidentifyingopportunities to improve existing processes whilemaintainingrobust compliance standards.
