Job summary

Artemis Human Capital partners with a construction business to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their finance team based in Toomebridge. The role covers the Purchase Ledger, CIS administration and supplier reconciliations within a fast-paced environment, with project management system support.

The position is a 9-month maternity cover contract with potential for extension and flexible working options. The role requires strong attention to detail and solid experience in construction finance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant.
• Strong CIS knowledge.
• Solid purchase ledger practice with supplier reconciliations.
• Experience in the construction industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Excellent communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Excel.
• Sage 200 experience advantageous.
• Experience with project management software beneficial.
• IATI qualification or studying towards a finance qualification advantageous.
• Intrastat experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Purchase Ledger and ensure supplier invoices are processed on time.
• Administer CIS including subcontractor verification and monthly returns.
• Complete supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end processes.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Act as internal lead for project management software and drive process improvements.
• Assist with financial reporting and broader finance administration.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc duties.
• Ensure financial information is accurate and maintained to procedures.
