Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to provide flexible sessions at a GP practice in Cirencester. The role offers ad-hoc or regular bookings with potential for long-term arrangements and a supportive primary care environment.

You will deliver routine clinics, manage acute cases, perform triage calls, review investigations, and document consultations using EMIS or SystmOne. Strong communication and patient-centred care are essential.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner requirement.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience is essential.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Running routine GP clinics, including urgent sessions.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
