Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to support community health and primary care services around Presteigne. The role offers flexible sessional work across community GP environments, suited to clinicians managing varied presentations and urgent patient demand.

Responsibilities include autonomous clinics, acute and chronic care, triage support, safe prescribing and thorough digital note-taking.

Qualifications

GMC-registered General Practitioner with NHS Performers List.
Experience in community, urgent care or primary care services.
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in varied environments.
Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

Running autonomous GP clinics within community health and primary care settings.
Managing acute, chronic and minor illness presentations.
Supporting urgent care demand through telephone triage.
Prescribing safely in line with clinical policies.
Completing routine clinical actions including results, follow-ups and referrals.
Documenting clear and accurate digital notes.
