Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Director-level Head of CIB Cloud to lead cloud strategy, governance and FinOps across global CIB functions. You will partner with the central CTO Cloud team to set target state, engineering standards and cost optimisation while ensuring regulatory and resilience requirements are met.

You will drive enterprise cloud adoption, architecture governance and cross-functional collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver measurable cloud outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform in a large regulated organisation.
• Proven capability in cloud strategy, governance and FinOps.
• Experience coordinating with central CTO and regulatory forums.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the CIB cloud strategy aligned to CTO and Group tech strategies.
• Set target state for cloud adoption, platform usage and engineering capability.
• Own FinOps budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and optimisation outcomes.
• Govern cloud risk and control agenda including risk assessments and remediation.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure and service management to meet availability and resilience standards.
• Represent technology in regulatory reviews, audits and information requests.
• Shape cloud architecture governance and standardised patterns across platforms.
