Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Head of CIB Cloud, a Director-level role accountable for strategy, governance and operations of cloud services across global CIB with a GCP focus. You will partner with central CTO Cloud to establish consistent practices, drive cost-efficient, resilient cloud platforms, and ensure regulatory compliance across the bank.

Success means measurable progress against cloud adoption targets, improved visibility of spend and strong operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading GCP-focused cloud programs in large regulated organisations.
• Strong understanding of FinOps, cost governance and budgeting.
• Proven ability to define enterprise cloud standards and operating models.
• Experience working with central cloud platform teams and regulatory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the CIB cloud strategy aligned to CTO and Group technology.
• Set target state for cloud adoption, platform usage and engineering capability across CIB globally.
• Escalation point for cloud incidents, risks and delivery decisions.
• Own FinOps budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback and cost optimisation.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure management to meet availability, capacity and performance.
• Govern risk and control agenda including risk assessments, testing and remediation.
• Represent technology in regulatory reviews, audits and information requests.
